About us

What we do
Rural Home Services is an introduction service. We look for up to 3 independent local suppliers who cover your area and pass your enquiry to them. We are not contractors, installers or advisers, and we don't carry out, supervise or guarantee any work. Any contract for work is between you and the supplier you choose. We can't guarantee that suppliers will be available in every area or for every service.
Fees
The service is free for homeowners. Suppliers may pay us a fee for introductions. This doesn't affect what you pay the supplier, which you agree directly with them.
Suppliers
We take reasonable steps when choosing suppliers to pass enquiries to, but we don't endorse or guarantee any business. Before hiring anyone, check their insurance, references and any registrations their trade requires, such as Gas Safe for gas work or OFTEC, HETAS or MCS where relevant.
Information on this site
Guides, prices and summaries of rules are general information, not professional or legal advice. Prices are published figures from the sources we cite, not quotes. Rules change, so confirm requirements with the relevant regulator, your council and your supplier.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Law
These terms are governed by Scots law, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your home nation's courts.
